Errani booked a spot in Saturday's lucrative final at the $2 million Dubai
Tennis Championships.
The fifth-seeded Errani handled good friend and doubles partner Roberta Vinci
6-3, 6-3 in Friday's semifinal action on the hardcourts at Dubai Tennis
Stadium.
Errani is now 5-2 lifetime against her fellow Italian Vinci, including
wins now in their last five meetings. The two women currently own three of
the four Grand Slam doubles titles.
The 25-year-old Errani will appear in her second final of the year, having
recently finished as a runner-up at an event in Paris. She is 6-5 in her
career WTA finals, which includes four titles last year.
Errani awaits the Petra Kvitova-Caroline Wozniacki victor. The former world
No. 1 Wozniacki was the Dubai titlist in 2011.
Saturday's big winner will collect $442,198.
