Paris, France (Sports Network) - A fourth-seeded duo of Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci are the 2012 French Open women's doubles champions.

The Italians Errani and Vinci overcame a seventh-seeded Russian tandem of Maria Kirilenko and Nadia Petrova, 4-6, 6-4, 6-2, on Court Suzanne Lenglen at Stade Roland Garros on Friday.

Errani and Vinci were the runners-up at this year's Aussie Open, where they lost to a Russian team of Svetlana Kuznetsova and Vera Zvonareva.

The hot Errani will also appear in the women's singles final against new No. 1 Maria Sharapova on Saturday.

Kirilenko and Petrova toppled fifth-seeded defending Roland Garros champions Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka of the Czech Republic in a semifinal here on Thursday.

The 25-year-old Kirilenko was an Australian Open doubles runner-up last year, while the 29-year-old Petrova was a U.S. Open doubles runner-up in 2010.

Errani and Vinci will split $425,000.
