Renton, WA (Sports Network) - Sounders FC forward Roger Levesque will retire
following Wednesday's match against Chelsea, the MLS club announced Friday.
The 31-year-old Levesque joined Seattle in 2003, before it played in MLS, and
remained with the club until his pending retirement. In MLS, he appeared in 53
games and had six goals and two assists.
"I would like to thank the Sounders organization for giving me the opportunity
to play professionally for the past nine years," said Levesque.
"I am fortunate to see the sport grow in such a great city, and to be a part
of it for so long."
Levesque has appeared in four matches this season for Seattle. He also played
