WASHINGTON (WUSA) - Oh, Robert.
Robert Griffin III could be done playing quarterback for the Browns, this year.
RG III broke a bone in his left shoulder and will miss at least eight games. The team said Griffin will be placed on injured reserve - under new rules he can brought off the list - and will be evaluated in 3 to 4 weeks.
With Griffin out, Josh McCown will start this week's home opener against Baltimore.
RGIII started at quarterback, yesterday, against the Philadelphia Eagles and led the Browns to a 29 - 10 loss. In the process he managed to get injured. Griffin took a shot to the chest while scrambling out of bounds late in the fourth quarter and doubled over in pain after throwing an incomplete pass on the following play., a failed fourth down conversion attempt, before being examined on the sideline.
His Browns debut basically mirrors his entire NFL career.
