Ottawa, ON (Sports Network) - Peter Regin's goal in the fifth round of the
shootout and Ben Bishop's 44-save effort lifted the Ottawa Senators over the
Montreal Canadiens, 2-1, in a Northeast Division battle.
Dave Dziurzynski scored in regulation for the Senators, who have won five in a
row.
Bishop started his second straight game in net for an injured Craig Anderson,
who is out with a sprained right ankle suffered last Thursday against the New
York Rangers.
Ottawa, which improved to 9-1-2 as the host this season, now sits one point
behind Montreal in the division standings.
Andrei Markov scored the lone goal for the Canadiens, who have recorded a
point in eight straight games, going 6-0-2 in those contests.
Carey Price stopped 23-of-24 shots in defeat.
