Stars' Dowell placed on IR

Frisco, TX (Sports Network) - The Dallas Stars place Jake Dowell on injured reserve Wednesday.

The 26-year-old center is expected to miss one week with an upper-body injury. He has one goal and four assists in 43 games this season.

To take Dowell's spot on the roster, Dallas recalled forward Matt Fraser from Texas of the American Hockey League.
