Florham Park, NJ (Sports Network) - The New York Jets officially released
veteran defensive tackle Sione Po'uha on Wednesday, effectively ending his
eight-year tenure with the club.
Po'uha had signed an extension with New York last offseason after playing in
each of the team's games since 2007, but a back injury limited him to 12
contests last season and he became another one of the Jets' 2013 cap
casualties.
In 106 career games, the 34-year-old registered 263 tackles, 4.5 sacks and 11
passes defensed.
