Tempe, AZ (Sports Network) - Arizona Cardinals offensive lineman Levi Brown
suffered a torn right triceps during Friday's preseason matchup with the
Oakland Raiders.
Brown left the game in the second quarter and after an MRI on Saturday, coach
Ken Whisenhunt announced the left tackle will have surgery in the next couple
of weeks that will most likely end Brown's season.
The 6-foot-6, 324-pounder has spent all five seasons with the Cardinals after
they drafted him fifth overall in the 2007 NFL Draft.
The Penn State product had started 72 consecutive regular-season games for
Arizona and recently signed a five-year contract extension with the club back
in March.
