Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - Tennessee Titans wide receiver O.J. Murdock died
Monday morning of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
According to a news release distributed by the Tampa Police Department,
Orenthal James Murdock was found in his car in front of Middleton High School
around 8:30 a.m. He was transported to Tampa General Hospital in critical
condition where he died at 10:43 a.m.
Murdock signed with the Titans as an undrafted free agent last year. He missed
the entire season with an Achilles injury.
The 25-year-old had not reported to camp this month due to personal reasons.
