Englewood, CO (Sports Network) - The Denver Broncos acquired fullback Chris
Gronkowski from the Indianapolis Colts on Wednesday in exchange for cornerback
Cassius Vaughn.
Gronkowsi appeared in seven games with the Colts last season after spending
his rookie campaign in Dallas, in which he rushed for 17 yards and caught
seven passes for 35 yards and a touchdown. He is the brother of Patriots tight
end Rob Gronkowski and Browns tight end Dan Gronkowski, who played in Denver
in 2010. Chris and Dan would be the fifth set of brothers to play on the
Broncos in the regular season.
Vaughn, who joined Denver as an undrafted free agent in 2010, appeared in nine
games last season -- three starts -- and tallied 20 tackles with an
interception, which he returned for a touchdown.
