Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - The Los Angeles Clippers have signed free
agent forward Ronny Turiaf.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Turiaf, a native of Martinique currently playing for France at the Olympics,
was a member of the NBA champion Miami Heat last season. He split the
shortened campaign with Washington and Miami, but played in 12 playoff games
to help the Heat to the championship.
The seven-year NBA veteran started seven postseason games last spring for the
Heat and averaged 1.9 points with 2.6 rebounds.
Turiaf has appeared in 375 NBA games for Miami, Washington, the New York
Knicks, Golden State and the Los Angeles Lakers. He began his career with the
Lakers after a standout collegiate career at Gonzaga, and has averaged 5.2
points with 3.8 rebounds during his NBA career.
