Phoenix, AZ (Sports Network) - Brad Casper announced his resignation as
president of the Phoenix Suns on Thursday in order to focus on outside
business ventures.
Chief operating officer Jason Rowley will take over as president and assume
responsibility for the club's business operations.
"I enjoyed my time with the Suns," said Casper. "It was a wonderful
opportunity for me, but ultimately serving the Suns while continuing to juggle
a portfolio of other business interests became too much. I'm grateful to have
worked with so many gifted professionals and I look forward to cheering on the
team next season."
Casper will serve on the board of directors of Grand Canyon University. He was
in charge of the Suns' business operations since October of last year, the
same month Rowley became COO.
