Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) - The Charlotte Bobcats extended qualifying
offers to guard D.J. Augustin and forward Derrick Brown on Friday.
The offers make Augustin and Brown restricted free agents, and allow the
Bobcats to match any other they receive from another team.
Augustin averaged 11.1 points and a career-high 6.4 assists per game last
season for Charlotte. In his four NBA seasons, Augustin has played in 282
games, averaging 10.9 points and 4.4 assists.
Brown averaged career-bests of 8.1 points and 3.6 rebounds per contest in 65
games during the 2011-12 campaign.
