WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- Unless Washington selects Kansas power forward Thomas Robinson -- or pulls some sneaky trade -- two Wizards fan favorites are going to be in direct competition for playing time next season.
The gritty Trevor Booker will be pitted against more finesse style of Kevin Seraphin.
At this point in mid-June, I think we're all torn over which of these two blossoming forwards should receive the starting nod -- or more importantly, the finishing nod in the fourth quarter. (Click here for a comparison of the two's career stats.)
I'll argue this though: Kevin Seraphin may have a distinct advantage heading into training camp this fall.
I'm sure Booker will be training hard in his hometown of South Carolina, but I doubt it will be as rigorous as the schedule Seraphin will be on with the French national team.
And the Frenchmen will be very capable of competing for a silver medal. Tony Parker, Nicolas Batum, Boris Diaw and Joakim Noah are all participants on the team.
I'm not picking sides at all, but keep a close eye on Seraphin this summer. If you follow him on Instagram, he's been constantly posting pictures of his workouts. He, more than any other Wizard, seems to be making it a public priority to show he's becoming a better basketball player.
