Dunedin, FL (Sports Network) - Joe Benson and Eddie Rosario each belted two-
run homers to help power the Minnesota Twins to an 8-4 win over the Toronto
Blue Jays at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium.
Rosario added a single in his two at-bats, while Justin Morneau and Aaron
Hicks each went 2-for-4 with an RBI for Minnesota.
Twins starter Mike Pelfrey struggled in his spring debut, with the offseason
pickup tagged for three runs and five hits in 1 2/3 innings of work. Ryan
Pressly and Blake Wood combined for 3 1/3 scoreless frames in relief of the
right-hander.
Adam Lind reached Pelfrey for a two-run homer in the bottom of the first, with
Andy LaRoche delivering a solo shot later on for the Blue Jays. Both LaRoche
and Rajai Davis finished 2-for-3 with an RBI in the loss.
Toronto's Ricky Romero made his first start of the spring and served up
Benson's homer while tossing 1 2/3 innings.
