Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - Cincinnati Reds manager Dusty Baker left
Wrigley Field on Wednesday to have chest X-rays performed in an attempt rule
out pneumonia, a team spokesman said.
Baker left the stadium in street clothes just hours before the NL-Central
leading Reds were to face the Chicago Cubs. He showed no signs of illness and
was examined by a member of the Cubs medical staff before departing for the
hospital.
Cincinnati bench coach Chris Speier will manage the team, should Baker not
return before game time.
Baker managed the 3,000th game of his career on Tuesday.
