Anaheim, CA (Sports Network) - The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim activated
catcher Chris Iannetta off the 15-day disabled list Saturday.
Iannetta has been on the shelf since May 2 after undergoing surgery on his
right wrist because of an injury suffered when he was hit by a pitch.
In 26 games this season, the 29-year-old is batting just .197 with three home
runs and nine RBI.
The Angels optioned catcher John Hester to Triple-A Salt Lake to make room on
the roster for Iannetta.
Hester hit .212 with three home runs, four RBI and 14 runs scored through 38
games for the Angels.
