Oakland, CA (Sports Network) - The Giants made a mechanical adjustment to
Brandon Belt's swing in May.
He's now playing the best baseball of his brief two-year career.
After providing the game-tying two-run double that sparked a four-run top of
the ninth inning in the Giants' victory Friday, Belt was again the offensive
catalyst in a 9-8 triumph over Oakland in the middle installment of the three-
game Bay Bridge Series on Saturday.
The 24-year-old Belt capped a four-run sixth frame with a go-ahead two-run
homer for the Giants, who recorded their 16th come-from-behind win of the
season and second in as many nights. He tallied two hits and three RBI in all,
extending his career-long hitting streak to 11 games.
Oakland made things extremely interesting in the ninth, pushing across four,
but Clay Hensley induced a game-ending pop up off the bat of Jemile Weeks with
the bases loaded, notching his second save of the year.
