Seattle, WA (Sports Network) - The Padres used a four-run sixth inning to
get past the Mariners, 5-4, on Tuesday in the opener of a three-game
interleague series.
Everth Cabrera capped the sixth with an RBI triple, giving San Diego a 5-1
lead, but Seattle scored three times in the ninth, getting a solo homer from
Michael Saunders and an RBI single from Munenori Kawasaki.
Huston Street allowed Kawasaki to cross the plate on a wild pitch, making it
5-4, before retiring Jesus Montero end the game.
