Washington, DC (Sports Network) - The Washington Nationals activated
outfielder Michael Morse from the 15-day disabled list Friday and optioned
outfielder Corey Brown to Triple-A Syracuse.
Last season, his third with the Nats, Morse hit .303 with 31 home
runs and 95 RBI, but has not appeared in a game for Washington this season
after being placed on the DL in late March with a strained right lat.
Over seven major league seasons with Washington and Seattle, Morse is a
.296 hitter with 69 doubles, 52 home runs and 183 RBI in 383 games.
Brown, 26, had one RBI, but did not record a hit in three at-bats with the
Nats.
