Kansas City, MO (Sports Network) - The Kansas City Royals activated infielder Yuniesky Betancourt from the 15-day disabled list and optioned infielder Irving Falu to Triple-A Omaha.

Betancourt, who has been on the DL since May 2 with a sprained right ankle, is hitting .280 this season with one home run in 15 games.

Falu, 28, hit .326 with three doubles and one RBI in 12 games with the Royals.
