Redskins players lend helping hand to hurricane victims in Haiti

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) - After Hurricane Matthew caused massive devastation in Haiti, the Washington Redskins are offering help to victims.

Monday, the Washington Redskins sent wide receiver Pierre Garçon and defensive end Ricky Jean Francois traveled to Haiti to hand deliver medical supplies to those in need.

According to the Washington Redskins, Garçon and Jean Francois are U.S. citizens who are of Haitian descent. They said seeing their home country in the state it is right now has hit them both hard.

Redskins owner Dan Snyder and his wife also flew a plane full of supplies to the Bahamas to help relief efforts Saturday.
