WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Wide Receiver DeSean Jackson has agreed to a three-year contract with the Washington Redskins, according to ESPN.

On his Instagram account, Jackson posted a picture of the news with the caption "ITS GOIN DOWN !! BURGUNDY & GOLD."

Adam Schefter reports that DeSean Jackson's three-year deal with the Redskins is worth $24 million, with $16 million of that payment guaranteed. Schefter says Jackson will make $8 million this season and that the finishing touches are being put on the deal.

According to ESPN, DeSean Jackson had dinner Monday night with members of the Redskins coaching staff, including coach Jay Gruden.

Robert Griffin III also took to Twitter to welcome Jackson.

The Redskins were one of several teams interested in Jackson, who was released Friday by the Philadelphia Eagles despite leading the team with 1,332 receiving and nine touchdown receptions in 2013.
