Md. billboard honors NBA MVP Kevin Durant

Oklahoma City isn't the only place with love for Kevin Durant. A billboard congratulating the 25-year-old Thunder star has been erected near his Maryland hometown of Seat Pleasant.

The Washington Post says this photo was taken by a friend of Doc Walker, who then tweeted it.

Durant began his memorable MVP press conference by talking about his days growing up in the D.C. area. "I come from a small county outside of Washington D.C. called P.G. County," he said.

In reality, P.G. is quite large. It's home to 890,081 people, which is a larger population than five states and the District of Columbia. It's one of the 75 largest counties in the country and the second-biggest one in Maryland.

Not that it matters to the narrative, of course. The story is Durant's emergence from impossible circumstances, not any census tallies.
