Going to the game tonight? Here's what to expect.

For the first time since 2008 the Washington Wizards will host a playoff game at the Verizon Center. Unlike the last time, the Wizards come into game 3 holding a commanding 2-0 led in the series with a real chance to sweep the Chicago Bulls in four games. As expected, the game will be a sellout with 20,356 (maximum capacity of the Verizon Center) fans expected to pile into the "Phone Booth". The Wizards are going all out to create an electric atmosphere and show a national audience that basketball is back in DC. Here is what you need to know if you are going to the big game:

Get there early, the game starts at 8 pm so no excuses:

Pre game festivities start early and its important you get to your seat as soon as possible. There are going to be 20,356 fans hustling and bustling around the Verizon Center and the sooner you find your place the better. It is important you are in your seat by 7:45 p.m. to experience something really cool.

At 7:45 p.m. it is your responsibility to light up the Verizon Center:

15 minutes before tip off the Wizards will do their first ever crowd sourcing light show. The team has kept the details of the show in secrecy but are encouraging fans to download the latest version of the Washington Wizards app to participate in the light show. For more information click here

You get a free t-shirt and you better wear it:

We were all happy when the Wizards changed their jerseys back to the old Bullets colors of red, white, and blue, now the fans get to rock the colors as well. Depending on your section you will be given a different colored #dcRising t-shirt. Fans sitting in the 100 level will get a red shirt, fans in the 200 level will wear white, and fans in the 400s will rock blue t shirts. Very Wizards, very patriotic.

If you are tweeting use #dcRising:

For all you obsessive tweeters out there (myself included) the Wizards have encouraged media and fans to use the #dcRising when tweeting about the Wizards. This hashtag applies to everyone, whether you are at the game or watching at home. The goal is to get #dcRising trending nationally and really put the Wizards on the national spotlight

Be Proud, be loud:

If you are a DC sports fan you know the agony of our believed teams have put us through. The Redskins are in off-season mode, the Caps were a huge disappointment, and there is no guarantee the Nats will play October baseball this season, but the Wizards are in the playoffs and have captured the national spotlight. It's never to late to join the bandwagon and there is no telling when this fun ride will end. If you're going to the game appreciate the spectacle, be proud that you are a DC sports fan, and scream your butt off.
