Report: Bryce Harper to undergo thumb surgery

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper will undergo thumb surgery Tuesday to repair a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his left thumb, ESPN's Keith Law reports.

It's expected that Harper will be out until at least early July.

The Nationals are already without catcher Wilson Ramos, third baseman Ryan Zimmerman, and starting pitcher Doug Fister due to injuries.
