VOTE: School Spirit Celebration Contest

WASHINGTON (WUSA 9) -- Earlier this month we asked local high schoolers if their school has what it takes to be named Most Spirited in the D.C. area, and we got answers!

We received 13 nominations from local students who each believe their school deserves the accolade. Vote now to support your choice and help the school win $500!

There are three ways to vote.

1): Vote online in the poll below.

2). Text the codes listed below in bold to "25543" to vote from your phone.

3). Vote on Twitter by tagging @USATODAYhssDC and turning the text code listed above into a hashtag.

For example:

-To vote for Centreville, Tweet: "Hey @USATODAYhssDC! I'm voting for #centreville."

-To vote for Magruder, Tweet: "Hey @USATODAYhssDC! I'm voting for #magruder."

And so on.

The school with the most total votes by 11:59 p.m. on August 24 will receive a check for $500 and be named the Most Spirited High School in the D.C. area.
