Rough start for Woodrow Wilson football

WASHINGTON (WUSA 9) -- The crowd was loud Friday night as the District welcomed back high school football. Good Counsel kicked off at Woodrow Wilson.

The game started with Good Counsel scoring in the first few minutes of the game.

Woodrow Wilson responded by running the ball down the field, making a touchdown and tying the game with 8:43 left in the first quarter.

The game intensified when Good Counsel scored another touchdown leading Woodrow Wilson 14-7.

With both teams scoring back-to-back, the game looked like it could be a shootout until the game shifted to Good Counsel at the end of the first quarter. Good Counsel scores with 2:16 left.

At the end of the first half, Good Counsel leads the game 42-7.

The game ends with Good Counsel scoring at the end of the third quarter and Woodrow Wilson scoring with 10 minutes left in the game. Good Counsel beats Woodrow Wilson 49-13.
