Gunnevera's owners received advice from horse racing legends

One group who hopes you hear the name of their horse as winner of the Preakness Stakes is the team for Gunnevera.

The three year old finished 7th in the Kentucky Derby.

Two owners and the trainer are from Venezuela.

They've relied on advice from others.... like legendary jockey Jerry Bailey and training great D. Wayne Lukas.

Trainer Antonio Sano's son, Alex told us they talked with Wayne at Churchill Downs.

"he's one of the advisors who told us to run the Preakness that the horse has a good chance and we really like what he thought about it."

Lukas said  "they came over and sat with me and we talked for about an hour and evaluated what they've done, what their horse might be able to do and where they were with him and I just, at 82 years old, what the hell I'd give 'em everything I could... advise them as well as I could"

Trainer Antonio Sano was kidnapped twice in his native Venezuela.... now he's hoping to taste success with Gunnevera at the Preakness
