Pettersen wins Evian Championship by 2

Evian-les-Bains, France (Sports Network) - Suzann Pettersen carded a 3-under 68 on Sunday en route to winning the weather-shortened Evian Championship by two strokes.

Pettersen, who won two weeks ago in Oregon, ended at 10-under-par 203. This was her second major championship and 13th title in all on the LPGA Tour.

After the first round was washed out by rain on Thursday, officials cut the championship to 54 holes. There was another weather delay on Sunday morning. Officials covered the greens overnight prior to the final round to protect from more rain that fell.

After getting the course playable, the round was able to be finished despite several more rain showers throughout the day at Evian Masters Golf Club.

Amateur star Lydia Ko managed a 1-under 70 to end alone in second place at minus-8. Lexi Thompson posted a 68 to take third at 6-under-par 207.

Se Ri Pak and So Yeon Ryu both closed with 71s and they shared fourth place at minus-5. Stacy Lewis (73), Angela Stanford (69) and Chella Choi (72) were one shot back at 4-under 209.

Second-round leader Mika Miyazato was going for her first major championship title, but struggled mightily in the final round. Miyazato struggled to an 8- over 79, which left her tied for 19th at even-par 213.
