Nashville, TN (Sports Network) - Jordan Rodgers threw two touchdown passes and
ran for another score to help the Vanderbilt Commodores beat the North
Carolina State Wolfpack, 38-24, in the Music City Bowl. Vanderbilt finished
with only 225 yards of total offense, but its defense forced five
turnovers. Rodgers was 16-of-25 for 108 yards in Vanderbilt's seventh straight
victory. Zac Stacy had 107 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries for the
Commodores (9-4), who tied a school single-season record for wins, last
accomplished in 1915. Mike Glennon amassed 383 passing yards for North
Carolina State (7-6), but was picked off three times.

El Paso, TX (Sports Network) - Tevin Washington threw a touchdown pass and ran
for another score, helping the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets snap a streak of
seven consecutive losses in bowl games with a 21-7 victory over the USC
Trojans in the Hyundai Sun Bowl. Washington carried the ball 16 times for
46 yards for the Yellow Jackets (7-7), who won a bowl game for the first
time since 2004. He also completed 3-of-5 passes for 49 yards. Vad Lee rushed
for 52 yards on 10 carries and connected on 2-of-5 passes for 26 yards and
a touchdown for Georgia Tech, which made its 16th consecutive bowl
appearance, the fourth-longest active streak in the nation. Freshman Max
Wittek completed 14-of-37 passes for 107 yards, one touchdown and three
interceptions for the Trojans (7-6), who were back in a bowl game
following a two-year NCAA-imposed bowl ban. Wittek was starting in place of
Matt Barkley, who missed the game due to a sprained right throwing
shoulder.

Memphis, TN (Sports Network) - Alex Singleton scored three rushing touchdowns
and Tulsa scored the final 24 points of the game to conquer Iowa State, 31-17,
in the Liberty Bowl. Cody Green passed for 93 yards on 11-of-23 completions
and scored once on the ground for the Golden Hurricane (11-3), who finished
the year having won four of their last five games and tied a school record for
victories in one season. Trey Watts posted 149 yards on 25 carries and
Thomas Roberson added two catches for 35 yards as Tulsa recorded its most
wins in one season since going 11-3 in 2008. The Conference USA program also
avenged a 38-23 loss at Iowa State on Sept. 1. Freshman signal-caller S.B.
Richardson and Steele Jantz combined for 170 yards, one touchdown and
two interceptions on 14-of-28 efficiency for the Cyclones (6-7), who ended
up losing four of their last five contests. Ernst Brun led all receivers
with 102 yards on four receptions, including a 69-yard TD catch, while Jeremy
Reeves posted a 31-yard interception return for another score.
