Morgantown, WV (Sports Network) - Geno Smith passed for 338 yards and three touchdowns -- all to Tavon Austin -- on 30-of-43 efficiency, as the eighth- ranked West Virginia Mountaineers topped the Maryland Terrapins, 31-21, at Puskar Stadium. Austin led all receivers with 179 yards on 13 receptions for the Mountaineers (3-0), who showed no signs of slowing down after a 30-point win over James Madison last week. Perry Hills also totaled three TD passes, including a pair to Stefon Diggs, to back a 20-completion, 305- yard performance for the Terrapins (2-2), who have lost two in a row. The true freshman was sacked five times, lost a fumble which was returned for a touchdown, and was also intercepted once. Diggs ended with 113 yards on three catches, and Marcus Leak contributed a touchdown grab in defeat.

Columbus, OH (Sports Network) - Braxton Miller threw for 143 yards and ran for a pair of touchdowns, as No. 16 Ohio State defeated UAB, 29-15, on Saturday. Miller completed 12-of-20 passes and rushed for 64 yards on 11 carries for the Buckeyes (4-0), who were coming off a narrow, 35-28 win over California. Jordan Hall had 105 yards on 17 carries in Saturday's victory, while Rod Smith and Zach Boren both ran for a score. Corey Brown added 67 yards on four catches. Austin Brown threw for 196 yards and an interception on 21-of-35 passig for the Blazers (0-3), who took on a ranked opponent for the second straight game after falling to then-No. 8 South Carolina, 49-6, last Saturday. Darrin Reaves rushed for 72 yards on 16 carries in the setback and Ty Long made 3-of-4 field goal attempts.

Fort Worth, TX (Sports Network) - Casey Pachall threw three touchdown passes and the 17th-ranked TCU Horned Frogs handled the Virginia Cavaliers, 27-7, on Saturday. Pachall completed 21-of-32 passes for 305 yards and an interception for the Horned Frogs (3-0), who extended their winning streak to 11 games, which is the best such streak in the nation. Brandon Carter caught five passes for 128 yards and a score. LaDarius Brown and Josh Boyce also had one receiving touchdown. Michael Rocco connected on 13-of-28 passes for 126 yards and two interceptions for the Cavaliers (2-2), who have lost two in a row. Phillip Sims completed 5-of-12 passes for 63 yards and a touchdown. Kevin Parks carried the ball 12 times for 84 yards in defeat. Dominique Terrell hauled in five passes for 86 yards.

Gainesville, FL (Sports Network) - Jeff Driskel passed for a score and ran for another, while the Florida defense remained firm, as the No. 14 Gators steamrolled the Kentucky Wildcats, 38-0, at the Swamp. Driskel performed well once again, throwing for 203 yards on 18-of-27 attempts and rushing for 35 yards on eight tries for the Gators (4-0, 3-0 SEC), who racked up their 26th consecutive win over their conference rivals. Mike Gillislee ran for 56 yards and a score, Quinton Dunbar hauled in three passes for 36 yards and a touchdown, while Jaylen Watkins returned an interception for another TD. Morgan Newton struggled throughout as he subbed for starter Maxwell Smith, who did not play due to a shoulder injury. Newton threw three interceptions in the first half and finished 7-of-21 for just 48 yards passing for the Wildcats (1-3, 0-1).
