Madison, WI (Sports Network) - Wisconsin running back Montee Ball left Saturday's game against UTEP with a head injury.

Ball, a 2011 Heisman Trophy finalist, took a shot to his head on a 1-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.

He was attended to by the team's training staff before being ruled out for the rest of the game.

James White took over in the backfield.
