Missoula, MT (Sports Network) - The University of Montana football program
will kick off its 2014 football season at the University of Wyoming, UM
athletic director Kent Haslam announced Thursday.
The game is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014.
"This is a great regional matchup for our team and fans," Haslam said. "As a
border state, there is a natural rivalry and reviving an old Skyline
Conference contest will be a lot of fun as well."
Wyoming has won all 13 prior meetings. The teams last played each other in
1997, with the Cowboys winning, 28-13, in Laramie.
The NCAA will allow FCS programs to play up to 12 games, instead of the usual
11, in 2014.
