Durham, NH (Sports Network) - New Hampshire starting quarterback Sean Goldrich
is expected to miss Saturday's game, if not longer, with a right shoulder
injury.
Goldrich, a redshirt freshman, sprained the AC joint in his shoulder on the
Wildcats' second offensive play of a 44-7 loss at Minnesota on Saturday. He was
coming off an outstanding game a week earlier at Holy Cross.
Redshirt sophomore Andy Vailas, who replaced Goldrich, will make his first
start this weekend against Central Connecticut State.
"All three of the guys were good," in preseason camp, UNH coach Sean McDonnell
said Monday. "Sean's injured. I'm not sure how long he's gonna be out, but we
know that this week Andy will quarterback and James Brady will be the backup."
The 18th-ranked Wildcats are 1-1. CCSU is 0-2.
