Corvallis, OR (Sports Network) - Sean Mannion threw for 285 yards and a
touchdown on 30-of-48 passing as the Oregon State Beavers escaped with a 10-7
upset win over No. 13 Wisconsin at Reser Stadium on Saturday.
Brandin Cooks hauled in seven passes for 89 yards and a touchdown and Malcolm
Agnew led the rushing attack with 47 yards on 11 carries for Oregon State
(1-0), which began its season a week later after the season opener against
Nicholls State was postponed due to Hurricane Issac.
Danny O'Brien threw for 181 yards and a score on 20-of-38 passing, while
Heisman hopeful Montee Ball carried it 15 times for 60 yards for the Badgers
(1-1).
Jacob Pedersen caught four passes for 36 yards and a touchdown and Jeff
Duckworth hauled in seven balls for 54 yards in defeat for Wisconsin, which
had its 33-game, non-conference winning streak halted.
