Ruston, LA (Sports Network) - Louisiana Tech running back Tyrone Duplessis was
found dead at his off-campus apartment on Thursday morning.
The 21-year-old was in his third year at Louisiana Tech.
The cause of death is not yet known and an autopsy is pending.
"Tyrone was a valuable part of this football family," head coach Sonny Dykes
said. "This is a tragic, senseless loss, but he made a lasting impact on this
team, University and everyone that knew him."
Duplessis ran the ball just seven times this season as he recovered from a
knee injury sustained during the 2010 season.
He is survived by his parents, George and Mary, and two siblings, George III
and Levoneshia Dixon.
