Colorado Springs, CO (Sports Network) - Todd Fletcher drained a 3-pointer from
the right corner with 3.5 seconds left to lift Air Force past 12th-ranked New
Mexico, 89-88, on Saturday.
Fletcher finished with 21 points, while Michael Lyons poured in 30 points to
go with five assists for the Falcons (17-12, 8-8 MWC), who had lost two games
in a row entering the contest.
Kendall Williams had 21 points and dished out 10 assists and Tony Snell scored
21 on 7-for-12 shooting from 3-point range.
Alex Kirk finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds and Cameron Bairstow added
12 points and seven boards for the Lobos (26-5, 13-3), who snapped a six-game
winning streak.
New Mexico had already wrapped up a regular season conference title and the
top seed in the upcoming Mountain West Conference Tournament.
