Bowling Green, OH (Sports Network) - Jordon Crawford netted 26 points and
swiped four steals as the Bowling Green Falcons closed out the regular season
in style with a 76-65 win over the Buffalo Bulls in a Mid-American Conference
bout at the Stroh Center.
Crawford shot 9-of-13 from the floor for BGSU (13-18, 7-9 MAC), which snapped
a two-game losing skid. A'uston Calhoun and Cameron Black chipped in 15 and 13
points, respectively.
Cameron Downing came off the bench to score 17 points for Buffalo (12-19,
7-9), which ends the regular season having lost four of five. Javon McCrea had
15 points, Tony Watson tallied 14 points and six assists, and Jarryn Skeete
poured in 13 points for the visitors.
Buffalo outshot BGSU from the field in the first half, 57.7 percent to 42.4
percent, but its lead was just three, 35-32, heading into intermission. The
Falcons kept the game close by forcing eight turnovers and collecting nine
offensive rebounds in the opening stanza.
BGSU improved its field goal efficiency to 57.7 percent after the break as it
took control of the contest. Crawford scored 20 of his 26 points in the second
half.
The Falcons outscored the Bulls in the paint, 44-26.
