turnovers in the first half.
The Braves were in control again in the second half and Egolf connected on a
3-pointer with 11:28 left in regulation to give them a 52-40 lead. Drake used
a 19-7 run to go ahead by one point and the lead changed hands frequently the
rest of the way. Egolf delivered another clutch make from beyond the arc with
28 seconds left to give Bradley a 70-65 lead, but Drake responded as Carter
completed a traditional three-point play to put VanDeest in position to tie it
up with a pair of free-throws just before the buzzer.
Drake ran away with it in the extra session by outscoring the Braves, 10-2, in
the opening 2:30 of the period.
The Bulldogs enjoyed a narrow, 40-38 edge in the rebounding battle.
