Fargo, ND (Sports Network) - Marshall Bjorklund recorded 12 points and six
rebounds as the North Dakota State Bison cruised by the IUPUI Jaguars, 75-39,
in Summit League action at Bison Sports Arena.
Kory Brown also contributed 12 points, along with four rebounds and three
assists for the Bison (20-7, 11-4 Summit). Lawrence Alexander added 10
points, four rebounds, and four assists as NDSU won for the second time in
three games.
For the Jaguars (6-22, 1-13), Lyonell Gaines recorded a game-high 14 points,
but was the only player in double figures as IUPUI's losing streak was pushed
to 12 games.
In the first half the Bison made 19-of-32 from the floor, while holding IUPUI
to a mere 8-of-25 shooting. Consequently, NDSU took a 41-19 advantage at the
break.
IUPUI made a total of just eight field goals in the second half as well,
allowing the hosts to cruise to the comfortable victory.
NDSU suffered only four turnovers, but at the same time forced 15 and turned
those miscues into 17 points.
