Cambridge, MA (Sports Network) - Kenyatta Smith recorded 14 points, seven
rebounds, and six blocked shots as the Harvard Crimson remained in first place
in Ivy League play by defeating the Princeton Tigers, 69-57, at Lavietes
Pavilion.
Steve Moundou-Missi contributed 14 points, seven boards, and four steals off
the bench for the Crimson (15-7, 7-1 Ivy). Laurent Rivard added 12 points and
six rebounds, Siyani Chambers chipped in 11 points and Wesley Saunders put up
10 points as Harvard won for the sixth time in the last seven outings.
For the Tigers (12-9, 5-2), Ian Hummer recorded a game-high 18 points and
seven rebounds, T.J. Bray and Will Barrett added 11 points apiece, Hans Brase
contributed 10 points and seven boards as Princeton bowed for the second time
in three games.
Princeton made 11-of-21 from the floor, including three 3-pointers, in the
first half. Harvard knocked down 13-of-26 from the field, including three
beyond the arc, en route to a 32-28 advantage at the break.
In the second half the Tigers slumped to only 9-of-29 shooting from the floor,
allowing the hosts to capture the double-digit victory.
Princeton reserves failed to score a single point on the night.
