Milwaukee, WI (Sports Network) - Paris Gulley dropped in a game-high 21 points
as the Milwaukee Panthers snapped a seven-game slide with a 71-53 win over the
Ramblers of Loyola-Chicago in Horizon League play at the Klotsche Center.
Also scoring in double figures for the Panthers (6-20, 2-10 HL) was Jordan
Aaron with 16 points, to go along with six rebounds and five assists for the
hosts.
The Ramblers (13-12, 3-9) were paced by Jordan Hicks with 12 points, followed
by Nick Osborne and Devon Turk with 11 points apiece as they saw their losing
streak extended to four in a row. Christian Thomas checked in with 10 points
and a game-high nine rebounds in the setback as well.
Loyola led by as many as nine points in the first half as the team shot 44.0
percent from the floor, but at the break the visitors were ahead by just five
points, 27-22. Milwaukee converted only 30.4 percent from the field in the
period.
In the second half the Panthers turned it around with a sizzling 63.6 percent
accuracy from the floor, not to mention 18-of-23 at the free-throw line in
order to steal away the win.
Milwaukee won the rebounding battle, 44-32, and outscored the Ramblers at the
free-throw line, 24-12, in order to combat 19 turnovers on the night.
