Princeton, NJ (Sports Network) - Javier Duren scored 13 points as the Yale
Bulldogs held off the Princeton Tigers to snap their 21-game winning streak at
home against Ivy League foes in a league bout at Jadwin Gymnasium.
Austin Morgan and Sam Martin each added 11 points for Yale (9-14, 3-3 Ivy
League) which had lost three of its previous four games.
Denton Koon had 16 points, Ian Hummer contributed 14 points and six assists
and Will Barrett chipped in 11 points for Princeton (11-8, 4-1) which also had
a six-game winning streak ended in its first league loss of the season.
At halftime Yale led 34-26 after shooting 65 percent from the floor, including
a 5-of-9 showing from 3-point range. Princeton knocked down 4-of-8 from beyond
the arc but shot just 42.9 percent in the first 20 minutes.
After halftime the Tigers heated up to 57.7 percent shooting and nailed 6-
of-13 from long range but the Bulldogs had a 13-3 edge from the free-throw
line and were able to hold on.
Yale's bench outscored its counterpart for Princeton, 34-10.
