Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Robert Carter, Jr. recorded a game-high 20
points as the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets cruised by the Wake Forest Demon
Deacons, 82-62, in Atlantic Coast Conference action at McCamish Pavilion.
Carter Jr. was 9-of-10 from the floor and pull down six boards in the Yellow
Jackets' (11-7, 1-5 ACC) victory. Marcus Georges-Hunt recorded 12 points and
six rebounds, as Georgia Tech snapped a five-game losing streak.
For the Demon Deacons (10-9, 3-4), C.J. Harris tallied 18 points, seven
boards, and three assists. Travis McKie added 10 points and Devin Thomas
grabbed 13 rebounds for Wake Forest, which has lost three of its last four
games.
Georgia Tech started out the game on a 16-0 run and eventually took a 52-29
advantage at the break.
Wake Forest cut into the deficit in the second half but never got to within 18
points of the lead.
Georgia Tech shot 54.2 percent from the floor, including 10-of-20 from 3-point
range, while holding the visitors to a mere 3-of-12 from beyond the arc.
