Green, the Colorado State Rams outlasted the UNLV Runnin' Rebels, 66-61, in a
Mountain West Conference showdown at Moby Arena.
Green shot 4-of-8 from 3-point range and made all eight of his free throw
attempts for CSU (15-3, 2-1 MWC), which has won nine of its last 11 contests.
Greg Smith chipped in 16 points, while Colton Iverson grabbed 10 rebounds.
For UNLV (15-4, 2-2), Anthony Marshall tallied 21 points, six rebounds, and
three steals. Katin Reinhardt added 11 points for the Rebels, who had won four
of their previous five.
CSU shot a modest 40 percent from the field in the first half, but it held
UNLV to just 27.6 percent shooting, as it went into intermission with a 31-26
lead.
In a back-and-forth second half, UNLV held a 59-56 lead with 3:40 left to
play, but the Rams finished the game on a 10-2 run to capture the victory.
CSU shot 19-of-21 from the foul line in the win, while UNLV was just 9-of-14
from the stripe.
