Arlington, TX (Sports Network) - Jeff Elorriaga finished with 22 points and
nine rebounds as the Boise State Broncos coasted to a 64-46 victory over the
Texas-Arlington Mavericks in a non-conference tilt at the College Park Center.
Anthony Drmic added 11 points for Boise State (11-2) as it picked up its fifth
win in a row.
Brandon Edwards and Karol Gruszecki tallied nine points each for the Mavericks
(6-5), who lost for the second straight time. Edwards also pulled down 10
rebounds.
The Broncos held a 26-18 edge on the scoreboard at the intermission after they
shot 45 percent from the floor including 3-of-7 from beyond the arc in the
first half. UT Arlington trailed after it managed to hit just 21.1 percent of
its attempts from the floor in the opening 20 minutes.
Boise State extended its lead after the break by draining 8-of-14 shots from
beyond the arc.
The Mavericks hurt themselves by committing 14 turnovers which Boise State
converted into 17 points. UT Arlington scored just seven points off of the
Broncos' 13 turnovers.
