over Fordham as part of the Madison Square Garden Holiday Festival.
Chris Obekpa scored seven points and blocked a school-record 11 shots for St.
John's (7-3), which has won five of its last six. The Red Storm had 15 blocks
as a team, which was also a program-best. D'Angelo Harrison added 14 points in
the victory.

five in a row. Branden Frazier scored 12 points, and Jeffrey Short had just
six points but he ripped down 11 boards.
Fordham was lackluster from the field in the first half, making less than 38
percent of its field goal attempts, but St. John's was even worse from the
field (.281), and the Rams took a 27-24 lead into intermission.
The teams continued to play tight until the Red Storm used an 11-3 run to take
a 49-41 lead with five and a half minutes to play, and they would not
surrender that advantage for the rest of the game.
The Rams lost despite holding a dominating 56-40 advantage on the glass. They
were also plagued by 23 turnovers and a poor shooting night from three-point
range (3-of-21).
