Chattanooga, TN (Sports Network) - Glenn Cosey scored 23 points to lead the
Eastern Kentucky Colonels to a 63-52 win over the Chattanooga Mocs at McKenzie
Arena.
Cosey also had six rebounds and five assists for Eastern Kentucky (9-0) which
is off to its best start since the 1964-65 season. Mike DiNunno chipped in 12
points and handed out six assists.
Drazen Zlovaric scored 12 points to pace Chattanooga (2-7).
Eastern Kentucky led 33-18 at halftime despite shooting just 41.9 percent by
hitting 6-of-18 shots from beyond the arc. Chattanooga connected on 38.9
percent of its field goal attempts in the first period.
The Colonels improved to 57.9 percent shooting in the second half and hit
another four shots from beyond the arc. Chattanooga also shot better, hitting
on 45.8 percent of its field goal attempts, but it wouldn't be enough.
Both teams struggled with ball control, combining for 40 turnovers.
