Syracuse, NY (Sports Network) - Michael Carter-Williams filled the stat sheet
with 11 points, 11 assists, seven rebounds and three steals, as No. 4 Syracuse
cruised to an 84-48 victory over Eastern Michigan on Monday. DaJuan Coleman
scored 14 points, Brandon Triche added 12 and Jerami Grant and Trevor Cooney
each chipped in 11 for the Orange (6-0), who have won a school-record 26
consecutive games at the Carrier Dome. Rob Murphy, who spent seven years as
an assistant coach under Syracuse's Jim Boeheim, got a rude welcome from his
mentor for the second straight year. The Eagles (5-2) committed 24 turnovers
and shot just 30 percent from the field one year after losing to the Orange
by the same exact score. Derek Thompson and Glenn Bryant paced Eastern
Michigan with 18 and 16 points, respectively.
